  • Transplant surgeons: Doctors who specialize in organ transplantation and perform the surgery. They talk to patients about transplant surgery and alternative options to determine if transplant is right for you.
  • Cardiologists: Doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of heart conditions and diseases.
  • Nephrologists: Doctors who specialize in diagnosing, treating and managing a wide variety of kidney conditions and diseases
  • Hepatologists: Doctors who specialize in diagnosing, treating and managing a wide variety of liver conditions and diseases. 
  • Transplant nurse practitioners and physician assistants: Advanced practice providers who manage patients’ health before and after transplant surgery.
