Penn State Health Medical Group at Penn State Cancer Center Berks region is seeking a fellowship trained Medical Oncologist/ Hematologist to join our existing practice located in Reading, PA. The community-based practice currently includes 2 physicians and 3 Advance Practice Providers. The practice has a long-standing reputation in the region for providing quality, compassionate care for oncology and hematology patients.

Penn State Health St. Joseph (PSH SJ) Cancer Center is certified by ASCO’s Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) program and accredited by the Commission on Cancer and American College of Radiology in Radiation Oncology. We collaborate with Penn State Cancer Institute and participate in national cooperative group clinical research trials.

Outpatient Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology practices are located in the PSH SJ Cancer Center, which is connected to the PSH SJ Medical Center. Providers and staff participate in weekly Tumor Boards and multidisciplinary lung and breast care clinics. Our outstanding nurses, patient navigators, oncology social workers, cancer risk evaluation (cancer genetics) nurse, clinical trials staff, and radiation oncology team, support comprehensive patient care.

The ideal candidate should possess a desire to work collaboratively with an excellent team of physicians, APPs and staff to care for our oncology and hematology patients from diagnosis through survivorship.

What we are seeking:

  • Medical Degree - M.D. or D.O
  • BC/BE in medical oncology and hematology
