Our RN ambassadors embody the diversity, talent and enthusiasm of Penn State Health’s Department of Nursing – and they want to share their passion with you! Their career journeys range from new graduates to seasoned professionals with 20-plus years of experience, each with a unique perspective on the stepping stones that have built expertise, challenged personal growth and fulfilled a calling to help others.

Daniel Schaeffer, Flight Nurse, Life Lion Critical Care

As a flight nurse for Penn State Health, Dan’s “office” is 2,000 feet in the air inside one of the health system’s iconic Life Lion helicopters. It’s been his home away from home for nearly 12 years.

Christina Webster - Acute Care nurse

A graduate of Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Pa., Christina has been with Penn State Health for 24 years as both a floor nurse and nurse leader.

Natalie Bashore - Penn State Cancer Institute nurse

The opportunity to work at the region’s only locally based academic medical center brought Natalie Bashore to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center two years ago.
