SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Lead as the top technical and/or software application expert in one or more critical areas within Information Resources and Technology (IRT). Provide technical support (e.g., planning, education, problem resolution) to other IRT areas and any other departments that require this expertise. Work with vendors and external experts to ensure that this technology and/or software application is deployed effectively within the institution. Serve as the overall project leader for enterprise-wide IT projects and as a mentor for less experienced IRT employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Determine future strategy, objectives, and goals for the technologies and/or business areas under this position's leadership.
- Work with other operational areas to ensure the effective and integrated delivery of information technology services as required for assigned projects and routine operations.
- Lead a single enterprise project or multiple concurrent smaller projects.
- Serve as an information technology liaison with the client community.
- Prepare documents and give oral presentations as required.
- Resolve application production problems.
- Coordinate resources within own team (including self) as required.
- Coordinate resources across other information technology teams as required.
- Maintain application profile tables (e.g., configuration of HMC-specific parameters for an off-the-shelf application).
- Use vendor-supplied tools to perform ad hoc reporting.
- Maintain a working relationship and ongoing communications with vendors (e.g., concerning routine enhancements, problem resolution, and planning).
- Responsible and accountable to comply with cyber security policies, standards, and processes in accordance with the Enterprise Cyber Security Program Plan.
- Formally document, design, manage, and/or operate in accordance with cyber security requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor's degree
- Six (6) years of related experience required.
