SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Community Paramedicine EMS Supervisor will oversee the functions of this new program under the direction of the Life Lion EMS Manager and Medical Director. This position will represent Life Lion EMS at all service levels in the Penn State Health system to promote the program and also work with the bundled payment group (and all others that apply) to help prevent hospital readmissions. This supervisory level person will also provide clinical patient care as needed in preventing readmissions of patients post hospital discharge. In addition clinical competency as a paramedic will also be maintained and this person will respond to any emergency as needed/directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Working knowledge of team function within the organization.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Paramedic with certification in the Commonwealth of PA.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but supplemental work experience may be substituted for the desired education requirements.
