SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Sterile Processing Supervisor is to coordinate, schedule and provide direction to the Sterile Processing Staff.. Responsible to coordinate activities and monitor usage of instruments and supplies between all areas of Sterile Processing, OR, Birth Center, ED, floors, labs, on/off site clinics, etc. Responsible for the overall direction, leadership, and supervision of the department and staff in the absence of the Manager. Responsible to strive to increase efficiency and work flow. Serves as sterile processing department liaison with other departments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • High school education/equivalent required. 
  • Associates Degree or minimum experience equivalent of 4 years Sterile Processing with 2 - 3 years as a sterile processing technician with demonstrated Charge abilities. 
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician required. 
  • Additional Certifications preferred (e.g. CER, CIS, CHL, CCSVP)
