What we're seeking:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of accredited training program
  • Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
  • BC/BE in internal medicine
  • Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates

About the role:

Assistant Professor of Medicine/Nocturnist (Penn State Health Medical Group, LLC – Hershey, PA): Instruct and advise medical residents and students. Plan, evaluate, and revise course content by keeping abreast of recent developments in the field. Diagnose, treat, and provide patient care to hospital inpatients during night coverage. Clinical duties include examining and evaluating patients; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as laboratory tests and radiographs (x-rays); prescribing medications and other treatment regimens; coordinating admission/discharge, and consulting with primary care physicians and specialists. Requires: MD/DO/foreign degree equivalent; completion of 36-month Internal Medicine residency; PA license/eligibility; and availability for weekend and night coverage.
