SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for the operation of diagnostic medical equipment to perform a variety of technical sonographic procedures for prenatal diagnoses and testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Graduate of an accredited Program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography required. RDMS (OB/Gyn) certification required. Must meet Continuing Medical Education requirements in accordance with ARDMS guidelines. CPR certification required. Nuchal Translucency certification and Nasal Bone certification must be completed within 1 year from hire date. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: 

Knowledge of M-mode, Pulse, and color Doppler waveforms required. Knowledge of 3D/4D imaging required. Thorough understanding of maternal-fetal pathology required. Knowledge of sterile technique used during invasive procedures required. Strong analysis skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills required. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

2 years of General or 1 year Maternal Fetal scanning experience preferred

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: 

Able to stand constantly; walk & sit occasionally. Able to lift/carry 0-10 frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally. Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally. Able to reach constantly.
