SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Reports directly to the Director-Revenue Cycle. The Manager-Revenue Cycle will plan, organize and implement current and future strategies to optimize the cash flow of the health system.  This position is also responsible for the management of regulatory and billing compliance, establishing working relationships with Penn State Health third party payers, account analysis, ensuring staffing productivity guidelines are set at appropriate levels and being maintained, optimizing best business practices and achieving best results.  The Patient Financial Services Team Managers will report directly to this individual.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties: 

  • Plan, organize, or manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements. 
  • Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews for staff members. 
  • Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, union contracts, environmental policies, or government regulations. 
  • Serve as contact persons for all workers within assigned territories. 
  • Implement schedule or policy changes. 
  • Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets. 
  • Promote safe work activities. 
  • Prepare management recommendations. Manage or coordinate the activities of the department to obtain use of equipment, facilities, or human resources.  


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • 3 years of related experience required.
