SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for leading high-impact enterprise cyber security projects frequently involving multiple technology and organizational domains.  Leads mission-spanning (clinical, academic, and research) projects involving both complex IT and cyber security systems implementations and process redesign, utilizing established project management methodologies, processes, and toolsets.

This level of position is fully competent in the field, operates under minimal direction and is expected to provide mentoring and oversight to lower level tasks.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Perform needs analysis to determine opportunities for new and improved business process solutions
  • Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes
  • Provide ongoing optimization and problem-solving support
  • Provide recommendations for possible improvements and upgrades
  • Act as a primary stakeholder in the underlying IT or cybersecurity operational processes and functions that support the service, provide direction, and monitor all significant activities so the service is delivered successfully
  • Gather feedback on customer satisfaction and internal service performance to foster continual improvement
  • Review service performance reports identifying any significant issues and variances, initiating, where necessary, corrective actions and ensuring that all outstanding issues are followed up
  • Work with other service managers and product owners to balance and prioritize services to meet overall customer requirements, constraints, and objectives
  • Participate in the acquisition process as necessary
  • Contributing to the aggregation and reporting of cyber risk metrics and information
  • Supporting cybersecurity strategies and reporting


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

 

  • Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related fields.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other professional cyber security, information technology, or project management certifications a plus.
