SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provides nursing care for patients before and after surgery or outpatient procedures in a same day/outpatient facility. Performs initial patient assessment and documentation prior to surgery, carries out pre-op orders and provides post-op recovery care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
- AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
