SUMMARY OF POSITION:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Orthopaedic Advanced Practice Provider to join our Orthopaedic department, primarily supporting our Orthopaedic Trauma division. The outpatient Trauma APP will provide post-operative and post-discharge follow-up care, manage fracture care and follow-up treatment plans, and conduct independent outpatient clinics while supporting Trauma surgeons. Responsibilities also include providing comprehensive patient and family education, particularly for trauma patients who may experience significant psychosocial and recovery challenges; performing wound assessments and managing wound care; providing Ilizarov frame management and pin-site care; and supporting care coordination, return-to-work planning, and longitudinal trauma recovery management. There is no OR work with this position. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment 
  • National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
