SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for the provision of direct patient care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Duties include direct patient care as well as indirect patient services such as documentation, ordering, family training, rounds, and interaction with the interdisciplinary team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • High school education or GED equivalent. 
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program. 
  • Entry level physical therapist assistant knowledge and experience in rehabilitation, orthopedic, medical/surgical within the last five years. 
  • Current CPR Certification
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – required prior to the end of the orientation period

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • State PT Association and American PT Association affiliate memberships.
