SUMMARY OF POSITION:

We are currently seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to manage and coordinate care in the ICU. The ideal candidate needs to have the ability to manage high-acuity patients and can prioritize care based on each patient's needs, be detailed oriented, maintain an open line of communication, and model a collaborative, professional relationship with all staff.

The individual will actively participate in daily rounds on patients in the ICU, perform assessments, and make medical management plan revisions in collaboration with physicians, consulted services, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams. The NP/PA should be proficient in Chest Tube Placement, Central Line placement and management; Arterial lines, Inotropes, Vasopressors, Vasoactive Intravenous Medications, IABP management, CRRT management, and Ventilator management. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Master's degree in Nursing required 
  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Certification in area of specialty preferred
