SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Nurse Manager – Cancer Infusion will plan, manage, or coordinate the Nursing operations for Hematology/Oncology within the West Region. Guides a team comprised of Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants across multiple hematology/oncology locations. Makes decisions based on unit objectives, as well as company policies and procedures. Manages the work efforts of supervisors and/or individual staff. The Nurse Manager will oversee the education, training, and mentoring of their nursing staff as well as evaluating competencies and creating designated staff scheduling. The Nurse Manager will be expected to adhere to regulatory and QOPI (Quality Oncology Practice Initiative) standards and instruct/train staff on standard operating procedures. With primary oversight of the Infusion services, the Nurse Manager will ensure the efficiency and safety of both the patients and staff within.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Five (5) years of RN experience required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) is required prior to completion of orientation. 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Oncology and/or infusion experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior Leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Membership in professional and leadership organizations preferred.
