Join a unique multidisciplinary clinic where the Infectious Disease APP partners closely with Orthopedic Surgery to provide specialized care for patients with complex musculoskeletal and orthopedic infections. The APP will function as the infectious disease specialist within the clinic, managing antimicrobial therapy, monitoring treatment response, coordinating care across disciplines, and supporting patients through their infection treatment journey. This role offers a high level of autonomy while being embedded within a collaborative orthopedic care model focused on improving outcomes and preserving function for patients with complex infections.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Primarily outpatient position serving as the Infectious Disease APP within a multidisciplinary clinic alongside Orthopedic Surgery.
  • The APP will evaluate and manage patients with prosthetic joint infections, osteomyelitis, septic arthritis, and other musculoskeletal infections.
  • Responsibilities include antimicrobial management, interpretation of laboratory and culture data, patient education, care coordination, and collaboration with orthopedic surgeons on treatment planning and longitudinal follow-up.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing with clinical specialization required.
  • Two years of work experience as a RN required.
  • Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
  • Must have demonstrated effective skills in consultation.
  • Certification as an NP practice specialization is preferred.
