Lead one of the region’s most advanced transplant and cellular therapy programs at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Central Pennsylvania’s only academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center. We are seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as Manager, Bone Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapies, overseeing the Adult, Pediatric, and Cellular Therapies programs within the Cancer Institute.
This leadership role is responsible for the success and daily operations of the outpatient Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapies programs, including management of nursing care coordination, transplant operations, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and multidisciplinary program development. The Manager will lead a team of BMT Nurse Coordinators and support staff while driving operational excellence, patient-centered care, and program growth across highly specialized transplant and CAR T-cell therapy services.
Key responsibilities include oversight of pre-transplant evaluation, care coordination, post-transplant follow-up, and development of standardized care pathways across multidisciplinary teams. This leader will partner closely with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, quality, and operational leadership to ensure seamless patient care delivery and exceptional clinical outcomes.
The Manager will serve as the primary lead for FACT accreditation and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring adherence to FACT-JACIE, FDA, CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining policies and SOPs, coordinating internal and external surveys, ensuring audit readiness, and serving as the primary liaison with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Additional responsibilities include driving quality and performance initiatives through tracking and analysis of key metrics such as transplant and CAR T outcomes, adverse events, turnaround times, and CIBMTR submission compliance. This role also provides leadership for staffing, onboarding, workflow optimization, performance management, and fostering a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration, quality, and service excellence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Nursing required.
- Four (4) years of related experience required.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
