Interventional Cardiologist Lancaster Medical Center – Full-Time
Penn State Health Medical Group – Cardiology is seeking a mid-career, board-certified Interventional Cardiologist to join our established and growing community cardiovascular practice at Lancaster Medical Center (LMC) in Lancaster, PA. This is a full-time clinical position ideal for a seasoned interventionalist seeking a high-volume, collegial practice environment.The Opportunity
Lancaster Medical Center operates a modern, low-risk cardiac catheterization laboratory staffed by a dedicated team of five cardiologists and three advanced practice providers. The cath lab features two state-of-the-art catheterization suites and a hybrid OR, supporting a robust acute STEMI program and a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic coronary interventions.
This is a community-based interventional position without on-site cardiac surgery backup, making it best suited for an experienced operator (3–10 years post-interventional cardiology fellowship) comfortable with independent clinical decision-making and appropriate patient selection.
What You Will Do
- Perform the full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic coronary interventions in a modern, two-suite cath lab with hybrid OR capabilities
- Manage acute STEMI activations as part of a well-established primary PCI program
- Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative cardiology
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and cardiovascular staff
- Contribute to programmatic growth and quality improvement initiatives across LMC cardiovascular services
Required
- M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
- Completion of ACGME-accredited fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
- Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania
- 3–10 years of post-fellowship attending experience in interventional cardiology
- Experience working in a community-based cath lab without on-site cardiac surgery backup
- Proficiency in multimodality imaging interpretation (echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, stress testing)
- Track record of collaborative practice and quality-driven care
