SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for serving as primary contact for the interfaces they are assigned to implement and support. They coordinate analysis sessions to identify interface business needs, create technical designs, and own issue triage necessary to implement and support these interfaces. This role involves working closely with clinical, operational, financial services, and administrative staff to optimize the use of Epic or other integrated systems, ensuring it meets the needs of the healthcare organization and supports the delivery of high-quality patient care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field
- With a Bachelor’s Degree Minimum four (4) years experience. Experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of HL7 interfaces with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows related to electronic medical record systems
- Without a Bachelor’s Degree Minimum eight (8) years experience. Experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of HL7 interfaces with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows related to electronic medical record systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Working knowledge of the multiple interface/integration applications at Penn State Health
- Experience with developing and maintaining system interfaces with focus on supporting back-end processes for financial and clinical applications
- Experience in working with multiple integration vendors
- Detailed knowledge of various integration and interface types (HL7, FHIR, API, etc.)
- Previous experience working and supporting Rhapsody
- Previous experience with JavaScript
