SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations of the Ambulatory Surgical Center. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective surgical care while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting body regulations. Works collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and business operations to promote clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and outstanding patient satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Provide executive oversight of clinical and business operations of the ambulatory surgery center (ASC).
- Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and performance objectives aligned with the facility’s mission and vision.
- Foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture focused on safety, quality, and service excellence.
- Monitor center performance metrics and implement correction action plans as needed.
- Oversee daily scheduling, staffing, and case flow to optimize efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Ensures delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care in accordance with ASC standards.
- Maintain compliance with CMS, AAAHC, state regulations, OSHA, HIPAA, and other applicable standards.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and competencies.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate clinical and administrative staff.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
- Ensure ongoing readiness for accreditation surveys and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain policies and procedures consistent with current standards and best practices.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
- Promote exceptional patient satisfaction and service recovery practices.
- Address patient concerns and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Represent the facility in professional and community settings as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ten (10) years of related experience required.
- Seven (7) years of management experience required.
- Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
