SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Division of Hematology/Oncology and Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute are inviting applications and nominations to fill the position of Division Chief, Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead an established Division with a national reputation for academic excellence.

The Chief will lead a Division consisting of 34 faculty members and will have overall responsibility for teaching, research, and clinical service as well as academic planning, development, and resource management.

The successful candidate will have an M.D. degree, Board and subspecialty certification, and leadership experience in an academic setting. He or she will have a record of extra-mural support in research as well as scholarship that would qualify for the rank of Professor. In addition, the successful candidate will possess outstanding clinical and teaching skills, with a commitment to excellence and diversity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Medical degree - M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited residency program
  • Licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Board certification/eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
