SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provides routine administrative support for an individual or group of professionals. Performs a variety of administrative tasks including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings and events, arranging travel or handling incoming inquiries. May create agendas, flyers, or promotional materials. May update and maintain websites, databases and mailing lists. Works to achieve day-to-day objectives under moderate supervision with direct impact on area. Work consists of tasks that are typically routine with some deviation from standard practice. Problems and issues faced are routine, but solutions are frequently not clearly prescribed. May require interpretation of procedures or policies to resolve problems. Checks and makes minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that are routine. Highlight areas of concern and put forth solutions to supervisor. Communicates with contacts typically within the department which requires some explanation or interpretation. Provides guidance to new or entry level employees. Requires operational knowledge of systems and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of relevant experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Microsoft Proficiency Level: Word: Intermediate; Excel: Basic; PowerPoint: Intermediate preferred.
