SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Access Control Operations Supervisor provides leadership, supervision, and operational oversight for personnel supporting enterprise access control operations, credentialing services, service coordination, and related security technology functions across multiple healthcare system locations. The position is responsible for ensuring operational continuity, regulatory compliance, consistent service delivery, and effective support of enterprise access control systems, video management systems, and related security technologies. 

The Access Control Operations Supervisor oversees daily operations, personnel, service coordination activities, and operational support functions while promoting workforce development, process improvement, and business continuity. The position serves as a key operational resource for security technology support activities, customer service functions, operational escalations, and cross-functional initiatives involving organizational stakeholders, vendors, and support departments. The Access Control Operations Supervisor also supports departmental projects, technology implementations, operational initiatives, and succession planning efforts that contribute to the ongoing effectiveness and growth of the Access Control program. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience four (4) years
  • Minimum four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in physical security operations, credential administration and access control operations, badging operations, access control systems, video management systems, information technology or a related operational environment.
  • Experience coordinating operational workflows, onboarding or credentialing processes, customer service functions, and support of security-related technologies and systems.
  • Prior supervisory, lead, or people management experience, including responsibility for directing staff, coordinating daily operations, managing workflow priorities, providing training and guidance, and resolving escalated operational issues. 
  • Must currently possess and maintain a valid driver's license 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Experience supporting enterprise access control systems, video management systems, and physical security technologies within a healthcare, higher education, or similarly complex multi-site environment preferred.
  • Experience leading operational teams, coordinating service delivery activities, managing vendor relationships, supporting technology implementations, and overseeing security-related operational processes preferred.
