Academic Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician - Hershey, PA

The Department of Family & Community Medicine at Penn State Health seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Primary Care Sports Medicine physician to join our expanding Sports Medicine team. This academic position offers the opportunity to develop a robust ambulatory Sports Medicine practice combined with a continuity Family Medicine practice within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. 

Faculty provide comprehensive sports medicine care, including musculoskeletal ultrasound, and participate in team physician coverage across professional, collegiate, and high school athletics. Candidates will have opportunities to engage in medical student, resident, and fellow education, as well as collaborate with colleagues across multiple specialties. Optional opportunities for inpatient care and resident precepting are available based on individual interests and career goals.

Job Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • BC/BE in Family Medicine
  • Unrestricted PA medical license
  • Board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine
  • Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency program
  • Completion of an accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship
  • Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
