Recognize a Staff Member

DAISY Award - Nurse

If you'd like to recognize a nurse at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center who made a difference in your care or that of someone you know, please complete the DAISY Award nomination form and share your story.

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award is an international recognition program started in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Pat’s family experienced firsthand the difference his nurses made in his care through clinical excellence and outstanding, compassionate care. The family created The DAISY Award to express gratitude to nurses and to enable other patients, families, and staff to thank and honor their special nurses.

Please visit DAISYFoundation.org to learn more about Pat's story and how The DAISY Award recognizes extraordinary nurses.

Mountain Laurel Award

The Mountain Laurel Award is an award given out to healthcare professionals who are in a non-nursing role.  The mountain laurel is the state flower of Pennsylvania and a symbol of perseverance. This symbol was chosen to recognize healthcare professionals who have demonstrated their dedication to providing an extraordinary experience to our patients and their families.

Thank a team member today by sharing your story of how they made a difference you will never forget!
