Designed to make it easier to access and manage your care, this new portal experience helps you stay connected to your health information whenever and wherever you need it.
Full access to MyChart Penn State Health begins on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Already using a Penn State Health patient portal?
If you currently use a Penn State Health patient portal, here’s what you need to know before Oct. 31.
- You will need a new account. MyChart Penn State Health is a new platform. You will need to create a new account once the platform is live, starting Oct. 31.
- All new health information will appear in MyChart Penn State Health starting Oct. 31.
- Beginning Oct. 26, 2026, all existing Penn State Health patient portals will transition to read-only access. This includes My Health Patient Portal, IQ Health, CareSpace, Your Health File, FollowMyHealth (Berks Cardiology), and healow (PCCMA).
After this date, you will be able to view your existing health information on these portals; however, no new information, updates, or communications will be added.
Between Oct. 26 and Oct. 31, please contact your physician’s office for prescription refills, test results or other activities you would normally access through the patient portal.

Is MyChart Penn State Health secure?
Yes. MyChart Penn State Health is a secure website that protects your health information. It uses safe, encrypted technology that follows all state and federal privacy laws. We take your privacy seriously and take every step to keep your health information safe.
- Only registered users can access their account with a secure activation code.
- You will log in with your personal username and password.
- On mobile devices, you can also use Face ID or fingerprint login.
What happens to my current Penn State Health patient portal?
Your current patient portal will be replaced by MyChart Penn State Health.
Beginning Oct. 26, 2026, all existing Penn State Health patient portals will transition to read-only access. This includes My Health Patient Portal, IQ Health, CareSpace, Your Health File, FollowMyHealth (Berks Cardiology), and healow (PCCMA).
