About Me
I am a physician assistant in the Penn State Health Children's Hospital NICU since 2014. I received the Physician Assistant of the Year award in 2022 through Central Penn Business Journal. I am the program director of the first pediatric post-graduate advanced practice provider fellowship in the NICU. Additionally, I am one of the NICU Neurodevelopmental Follow-up Program providers and assisted with increasing patient access to long-term follow-up.
Currently, I am working with medical students to create a research database evaluating neurodevelopmental outcomes of our high-risk patients. I have been actively involved with the Patent Ductus Arteriosus Hot Topic team, Small Baby Unit team, and Developmental Care team, in addition to improving clinical documentation. I am an active mentor and preceptor for physician assistant students seeking a clinical rotation in the NICU. I have achieved the professional advancement model level three designation through Penn State Health recognizing clinical expertise, patient care, clinical education, leadership, and community/institutional service. I plan to obtain accreditation for the NICU post-graduate advanced practice provider program, and publish our findings from preterm infants who attend the NICU Neurodevelopmental Follow-up Clinic.
