About Me

I am a board-certified physiatrist. I help people recover function after neurological, traumatic and orthopedic injuries and illnesses, including stroke. I provide holistic care, which means I consider the whole person when developing a treatment plan. A physical injury that requires rehabilitation affects not only the body but also emotional and social well-being.

I have a personal understanding of the demands of rehabilitation, having experienced quadriplegia and ventilator dependency after having Guillain-Barre syndrome in my late teens. My personal recovery fuels my passion for helping others in similar situations. Now I am rewarded by guiding people through some of the most difficult times in their lives and helping them learn how to live fully after trauma or illness.
