The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking motivated Advanced Practice Providers to join our growing, collaborative team. Opportunities are available across several areas of neurosurgery, offering candidates broad clinical exposure and the chance to develop specialized expertise within a dynamic academic environment.
Both experienced APPs and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Neurosurgical experience is not required; our collaborative team provides comprehensive training, mentorship, and ongoing support to prepare each APP for success.
The APP will work closely with neurosurgeons, residents, fellows, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative care.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative care to patients with neurosurgical conditions
- Conduct patient evaluations, develop care plans, and manage preoperative and postoperative follow-up in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Perform inpatient rounds and complete timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations.
- Assist with clinical interventions as appropriate to training, credentialing, and assigned specialty.
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to support continuity and timely access to services.
- Participate in quality improvement, program development, education, and other departmental initiatives.
- Support the department’s clinical, academic, and educational missions.
- Participate in teaching of residents, fellows, and students
- Contribute to clinical research, database management, or outcomes tracking, depending on interest and program needs
- Support departmental educational and academic missions
- Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.
- National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.
- Relevant experience preferred
- Prior experience in neurosurgery, neurology, or a surgical subspecialty
- Interest in functional neurosurgery, movement disorders, spinal disorders, or epilepsy
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient surgical care environments
