About the Position:
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist for Full Time outpatient clinic-based position at our primary location in Hershey, PA. Interest in treatment of mood and anxiety disorders and interventional psychiatry is preferred. The primary outpatient site in Hershey PA integrates research and clinical services, running approximately 40,000 clinical visits per year. We also provide integrated behavioral health services in multiple locations. Across sites, the department offers assessment programs, medication treatments, neuromodulation and interventional psychiatry, and evidence-based group and individual counseling services. There are opportunities to work with medical students, general psychiatry residents and other learners. All required calls are phone back-up to residents with the option of additional compensation for doing in-person calls.

Our department includes 10 divisions of psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice providers, and therapists who provide care across six specialty and 22 integrated outpatient clinics throughout south-central Pennsylvania. We also deliver inpatient and consultation-liaison services at Penn State Health hospitals. Our comprehensive service lines include general and specialty adult and child psychiatry and psychology, sleep medicine and behavioral sleep medicine, eating disorders, autism spectrum services, neuromodulation, integrated behavioral health, addiction treatment and recovery services, partial hospitalization programs, and consultation-liaison psychiatry.
Inpatient services are based at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, and feature 84 beds within newly renovated units dedicated to adult, older adult, child, adolescent, and high-acuity psychiatric care. Multidisciplinary teams work closely with patients and families to support recovery and promote long-term wellness.

What we're seeking:
- MD, DO or equivalent degree
- Completion of accredited residency program
- BC/BE in psychiatry is required with certification within 3 years after hire
- Ability to acquire a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a DEA certificate
- Successful candidates should have strong teaching as well as clinical skills and, optimally, potential for scientific and scholarly achievement
