Just three years after the groundbreaking and four months after construction was completed, Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center opens its doors to patients on Oct. 1. This state-of-the-art, 110-private inpatient beds West Shore hospital will provide expert 24/7 emergency medical care, inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical care, and labor and delivery services (opening late 2021). Working closely with independent community providers, Penn State Health physicians and community practice providers will bring the highest-quality acute care conveniently close to home for West Shore residents.
