About Me

I’m a functional neurosurgeon who specializes in surgical procedures to help patients have the best quality of life possible. I treat patients with movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor, using procedures such as MR-guided focused ultrasound and deep brain stimulation. MR-guided focused ultrasound is an incisionless surgery that creates a lesion in the brain to reduce or stop tremors. I am also trained to help treat patients with chronic pain including trigeminal neuralgia and chronic back pain. An interest of mine is providing surgical treatment options for patients with depression or obsessive-compulsive disorder who may not respond to medications. Each patient I see gets a personalized treatment plan that uses the latest medical technology available to provide the best possible outcome.
