About Me
I am a fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon and an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, with expertise in minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopy and robotic surgery. I treat patients with diseases and disorders of the rectum and colon. My interests include rectal cancer, bowel function after colorectal surgery and inflammatory bowel disease.
I ranked first in my class in medical school, trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, and have written book chapters on colorectal surgery. In addition to English, I speak Spanish and Portuguese.
