Dr. Zhang received his MD and MS in China. He completed his residency in Pathology at College of Medicine, North China University of Science and Technology, Tangshan, China. He moved to Indiana University School of Medicine as a postdoctoral fellow in 1996 and performed many years of research in Immunology before he completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2010. He then joined Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in July, 2010. Dr. Zhang is an Associate Professor, board certified in American Board Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) and American Board Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM). He provides inpatient and outpatient services focusing on cardiac, cancer, renal and transplant rehabilitation, electrodiagnostic medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, spasticity and cervical dystonia management, as well as amputee rehabilitation. Dr. Zhang’s research interest includes clinical medical rehabilitation and peripheral vascular disease. Dr. Zhang has published 42 peer reviewed articles and book chapters.
