About Me
Jessica Carrier is a board certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner who joined the Penn State Health Children’s Hospital team in 2021. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Temple University and worked as a Registered Nurse for six years in the NICU. During her time at the bedside, she graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Pennsylvania College of Health Science and then received Post Master Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification from Thomas Jefferson University. Her clinical interests include lactation and the benefits of maternal breast milk especially for NICU infants, as well as developmental care. She is a Certified Lactation Counselor and is also certified in Neonatal Touch and Massage. She actively participates in education within the NICU and is a member of the maternal breast milk quality improvement team.
