SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Produce ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians. Includes vascular technologists.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

High School Diploma or equivalent

AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon orientation completion

Must be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or become registered within one (1) year of employment

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registry required within six (6) months of employment for sonographers with two (2) or more years' experience, and within one (1) year for sonographers with less than two (2) years' experience
