JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The transplant financial coordinator serves as the first line resource and counselor for patients and their families. The coordinator is responsible for patient insurance benefits analysis, insurance pre-authorizations, patient registrations, charge entry for high dollar cases, review and management of accounts, and is an active participant in the transplant selection forums. A vital role in ensuring patient needs are met, the financial coordinator works closely with Patient Financial Services and physicians and communicates routinely with insurance companies. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience plus 1-3 years of additional experience in patient financial services/financial counseling. 

Must be comfortable with all computer operations including Eclipses, Cadence, SMS, Web-MD, Word, Excel, and OTTR. 

Good communications skills are required.
