JOB SUMMARY: 

The EMS Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of the Life Lion EMS unit. Duties include but not limited to, direct oversight of staff, responding to and assisting on all EMS incidents, Incident command at large scenes and patient care as a Pa certified Paramedic. Also will handle other task as assigned. 

Job complexity is high along with the overall responsibility. Decision making skills are 50% single decision, 50% guidance needed from superior or other hospital or DOH policy/source. Communication skills are important requiring direct contact, written skills and ability to speak with multiple people in the health system and the public. The EMS supervisor is a critical role in the daily operations or the Life Lion EMS unit and has management oversight in the absence of the EMS Manager. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Strong leadership skills. 

Minimum of 8 years experience as a Paramedic with certification in the Commonwealth of PA. 

A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but supplemental work experience may be substituted for the desired education requirements.
