SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This job is responsible for performing general, obstetrical, and gynecologic ultrasound examinations at a technical level in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of ultrasound equipment.
High School Diploma or GED Required
Sonographer Certification/Registry Required
American Heart Association “BLS” Provider Required
Recent completion of a twelve-month internship in diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent recent directly-related work experience.
