SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible to provide recruitment/consulting services that ensure the attraction and selection of high quality employees for job vacancies within Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine. Positions recruited for will be in the following disciplines and types: Allied Health (licensed and certified positions); Clerical/Administrative; Service and Trades; Information Technology; Hospital administration and leadership; Faculty, Research, Professors, Coordinators , etc. (Standing, Wage and Fixed Term.) Responsible to develop and implement innovative recruitment and networking strategies to include diversity and inclusion techniques. Ensure quality, candidates are identified, screened and presented to hiring managers; oversee recruitment process to include oversight of applicant tracking process, candidate identification, screening, coordination of interview and selection activities; salary calculations and offer negotiations. Acts as liaison with Hospital administrators, Department chairs, directors, hiring managers regarding recruitment. Know and understand the systems and processes of HR, including source and repository of all HR data.
Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Strong MS Office Skills Proficiency with applicant tracking systems
Working knowledge of HR information systems
Can run basic reports, interpret and analyze data
Ability to conduct intake sessions and implement service level agreements
Ability to phone screen candidates using intake information and disposition candidates accordingly
Ability to source candidates using a variety of sourcing tools
Ability to demonstrate exceptional candidate experience
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to travel approximately 5% of the time; some travel may require overnight stays
Demonstrate organizational values
Knowledge of employment laws, ability to apply them and advise Managers as needed
Healthcare recruiting experience
Formal recruitment training
Experience implementing diversity recruitment plans
