SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the administrative, technical, and clinical operations of the Pharmacy Department across the continuum of care with direct oversight for recruitment and retention of appropriate staff, compliance with regulatory agencies such as DEA, JCAHO, DOH and the State Board of Pharmacy, strategic and budgetary planning and implementation, and interdisciplinary coordination of all medication management processes. Responsible for providing leadership for ?Connected? or other IT initiatives as well as the growth of Pharmaceutical information systems, and service to all clinicians on Academic Medical Center Campus for Clinical Care and Research activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Either a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D., plus 8 years of managerial experience in hospital pharmacy practice required
Pennsylvania licensure in Pharmacy or eligibility required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, project management skills, and decision making skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Progressively responsible pharmacy management experience in Academic Medical Centers is highly preferred
Inpatient and outpatient pharmacy experience is preferred
Master's degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration or a related field preferred
