This position is very fast paced and is responsible for performing all aspects of Operating Room scheduling which includes routine and emergent surgical cases and coordinating the efforts of the Operating Room. You will be working with other surgical schedulers, OR Business Manager, physicians, nurse managers, OR staff, ancillary staff, other departments within the hospital, surgeons offices, patients, and members of the medical community. This position reports to the OR Business Manager, and is a key position within the OR.
High School Diploma or GED Required
Associates degree preferred.
Two years of recent work experience in a call center environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology
