The Penn State Health Heart and Vascular team is growing and searching for customer service focused schedulers to join us in our mission to provide an exceptional patient experience!
Our amazing team of schedulers serve each patient with the highest quality experience in every interaction every day. They are responsible for the scheduling of patient visits, pre-operative and/or diagnostic tests, and procedures for assigned area of responsibility.
This is a great opportunity for a computer savvy and service-oriented individual who enjoys a fast paced environment. The schedulers move quickly between various systems to ensure accurate documentation and workflow including Cerner Scheduling and Registration System, Power Chart, E-Messaging, and Microsoft Office.
This position requires a high sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize patient needs to ensure same day requests are scheduled as quickly as possible.
In this role, or team of schedulers routinely engage with patients, staff, Faculty and Advanced Practice Providers as well as outside referring physicians and staff.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Accurate Keyboarding and data entry skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize work and manage time requirements.
Medical terminology preferred.
