JOB SUMMARY:

The RN Triage Nurse will be responsible for handling phone calls from patients who are seeking medical information and/or medical attention. The RN Triage Nurse will undertake an assessment of their health needs, with the aid of decision support software, and give advice as appropriate in compliance with appropriate protocols. The RN Triage Nurse will schedule appointments, answer questions, and provide health education as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required. 

Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required. 

Three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse in the inpatient or ambulatory care setting required. 

AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Phone triage experience preferred.
