The radiology and imaging team at Penn State Health provides a full range of imaging services to find and treat illnesses and injuries. As the only academic medical center in central Pennsylvania, we offer leading-edge care from a skilled, knowledgeable team. We use the latest equipment that delivers accurate, fast results — often within 48 hours. The Radiology Department occupies most of the ground floor in the Main Hospital and also has imaging sites at Hope Drive, Fishburn Road, Hershey, Nyes Road, Harrisburg, and Camp Hill. We perform more than 400,000 diagnostic studies annually at our multiple central Pennsylvania locations.

Registered Nurses in the Radiology Outpatient Care unit are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to Adult and Pediatric patients. In this role, the RN is responsible for pre-procedure and post-procedure Stage I & Stage II recovery for procedures performed in CVIR/NVIR & the Radiology Procedure Suite. This position requires on call hours on Saturday mornings approximately every 4-6 weeks. No Holiday Requirement.
Registered Nurse with a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania or a Registered Nurse from another state with a Temporary PA Practice Permit
6 months of experience working as a RN
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Critical Care, ED or PACU Position requires BLS, ACLS and PALS that must be completed within 6 months of hire
Able to sit occasionally; stand constantly; walk frequently.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.
Able to use hand for simple/firm grasping.
