Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center will bring acute inpatient medical services to communities in Cumberland, Perry, and York counties.  The facility, set to open in Fall 2021, will feature 108 private inpatient beds and an attached outpatient medical office building.  This is a unique opportunity to be part of opening a new hospital with a highly collaborative and team-oriented culture. 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The RN House Supervisor at Hampden will exercise delegated administrative responsibility and authority for the supervision of all hospital personnel and functions within the assigned work unit/location for their assigned shift.They will serve as a leader and resource person in facilitating efficient operational activities throughout the organization and serve as a leader to support hospital administration, while on duty, to provide staff and patient problem resolution and answer any policy related questions that may arise.

 

House Supervisors must demonstrate excellent judgement and analytical ability to oversee hospital operations and patient placement while on duty and use critical thinking skills to assist health care providers in their delivery of care by utilizing available resources to provide safe patient care.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

 

Associates Degree required

 

2-3 years in acute care setting.

 

Previous work experience in a supervisory, management or other healthcare leadership capacity.

 

Current state license as a Registered Nurse.

 

BLS Certification.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

 

ED or ICU experience preferred.
