JOB SUMMARY:
Registered Nurses in the Radiology Procedure Suite are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to adult and pediatric patients. In this role, the RN is responsible for pre-procedural and post-procedural stage I & stage II conscious sedation recovery for procedures performed in the CT-guided biopsy suite as well as Phase I recovery from general anesthesia in the CT and MRI Suites. The RNs are also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Nuclear Medicine Suite. RNs in this department also work at the East Campus MRI suite assisting with IV starts and patient flow for the outpatient MRIs. This position requires on call hours on nights (approximately 16-20 nights/year), weekends (approximately 4-5 weekends/year) and holidays (approximately one holiday every other year).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse with a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania or a Registered Nurse from another state with a Temporary PA Practice Permit
6 months of experience working as a RN
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Critical Care, ED or PACU
Position requires BLS, ACLS and PALS that must be completed within 6 months of hire
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
Able to sit occasionally; stand constantly; walk frequently.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.
Able to use hand for simple/firm grasping.
