RN/Registered Nurse Assistant Manager - Behavioral Health Inpatient Acute Care Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center
The Assistant Nurse Manager - RN is responsible for partnering with the Nurse Manager to assure department operations are carried out. They will also work with the Nurse Manager in organizing and evaluating the quality of patient care, coordination personnel and utilizing resources effectively in the delivery of patient care. Additional responsibilities include management and development of the unit, including, but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, and supervision of staff, assisting with developing and monitoring of budget, policies and procedures, both new employee orientation and ongoing education of staff, and management of quality improvement programs.
Associates Degree required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred (BSN)
4 years of clinical RN nursing experience required
Progressive leadership experience required
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Able to sit occasionally; stand constantly; walk frequently
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly
Able to use hand for simple/firm grasping
Master's Degree preferred (MSN)
