RN Nursing Professional Development Specialist – Clinical Educator ICU Critical Care Education - Penn State Health Holy Spirit 

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Nursing Professional Development Specialist supports the quality of care provided to patients by Department of Nursing staff through optimal orientation programs, ongoing evaluation of competence, and support of lifelong learning. The Nursing Professional Development Specialist promotes relevant professional development opportunities and mentorship for members of the department of nursing at all levels to assist with the achievement of personal and professional goals. 

The Nursing Professional Development Specialist will identify outcomes of educational interventions based on input from learners and stakeholders, evidence, regulations and organizational goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

MSN or intent to complete MSN within three (3) years of hire.

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Three (3) years RN nursing experience.

Licensed to practice as a RN Registered Nurse by the state of employment required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

ICU Critical Care Nursing Experience 

Nursing Professional Development Certification or specialty certification
