The graduate intern will work with and shadow members of the Senior Leadership Team and subsequent areas of the hospital as they develop their management and leadership skills. The chosen intern will become acquainted with Penn State Hershey Medical Center by attending meetings with executive officers, senior management, departmental chairs, and operations directors throughout the organization. Additionally, the chosen candidate will work on an identified project that holds personal interest as well as value and benefit to PSHMC. The intern may work with their preceptor to select their project from those submitted by hospital personnel or solicit project ideas directly from management in areas of particular interest to him or her. The type of project that may be identified includes but is not limited to the following areas; hospital and practice management, budgeting, strategic planning, new healthcare ventures, patient-flow studies, and efficiency analyses.

Currently pursuing a Master of Health Administration degree from Penn State University.
Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
